I can’t believe that I’ve been blogging for THREE years this month. It seems like just yesterday that I was sitting in our basement wondering how I could help others manage their money but possibly make a little side income in order to help my growing family financially.
However, I didn’t realize that it would take almost over two years before realizing my dream of helping thousands of people and helping my family pay off debt. And through my two years, I’ve learned so much through these years and I want to help others who are on this blogging journey! So, I’m having a giveaway of some of my favorite resources that have helped me through this blogging journey!
How to Blog for Profit without Selling Your Soul * by Ruth Soukup
If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know that I credit this book with fundamentally changing my blog for the better in early 2014. This is a must read book for all bloggers and I’m giving away a paperback copy of the book!
Quitter * by Jon Acuff
This is a great read, especially if you work outside the home and blog. In case you’re not familiar with Jon, he used to work for AutoTrader here in Atlanta and worked the blogging magic to land his first book deal and eventually he was able to quit his “day job” to live out his dream.
EntreLeadership * by Dave Ramsey
This is an amazing read for all business owners and leaders. Even though this isn’t a blogging-related book, it is essential to helping you lead a team, manage your money, and be the most amazing Entreleader ever!
The Legend of the Monk and the Merchant by Terry Felber
Okay, I know this one seems like a strange title to include in business related books but y’all, it’s awesome. Especially if you’re a Christian because I’ve found that sometimes it’s difficult to navigate the waters of business ownership while trying to maintain our Christian integrity. This book is a fictional story but gives amazing practical advice for business owners and well, just living your life in general. 🙂
$30 Erin Condren eGift Card – I LOVE EC’s products and even though I now use my Day Designer for my planner (love it!) instead of EC’s Life Planner, I still love her stationary and notebooks.

first, congrats on three years of blogging, and bigger congrats on being able to earn a nice income from it. I’m going to check out the Legend of the Monk book. I love being able to share my faith on my blog but I also feel like it’s dangerous waters. You allow everyone on to your site, so they can say anything. If you are trying to make money at blogging, partnering with businesses in a way that keeps your integrity is tricky. It’s difficult business!
I loved The Legend of The Monk and The Merchant! It’s such a great read and founded in Biblical truth. 🙂 I’ve definitely had some less than kind people make comments about my faith on here, but I know that Christianity was never meant to be comfortable so I have to challenge myself all the time to become uncomfortable in my faith. 🙂
Happy 3rd anniversary! I’ve never heard of the book The Legend of the Monk and the Merchant, sounds like an interesting read.
It’s an awesome read! It was recommended by Dave Ramsey and his team and I see why — it’s so fantastic and a quick read. 🙂
Happy blog anniversary! It’s a big milestone to make so far! I credit Ruth’s book (and EBA) with helping me to grow like I’ve always wanted to…but didn’t know exactly how to do. I don’t have any burning blog questions, but I always love reading your blogging posts for a different perspective! Keep up the great work, Jessi!
Thank you so much Kristen! 🙂 EBA is so awesome and I need to add “retake EBA” to my goals list for next year! 🙂
Happy Blog Anniversary! Congrats on all that you have done in 3 years. You have created such a wonderful blog and I enjoy stopping by!
This looks like a great resource of books! I have not read any of them and they all look intriguing and helpful. I am still in the stages of finding the perfect planner. EC’s products are so pretty. 😉
EC’s products are so gorgeous and are a definite weakness for me! 🙂
Congrats on 3 years! Very impressive work thus far! I haven’t Ruth’s book, but the others are all really good reads!
Ruth’s book is amazing! You’ll have to read it. 🙂
Yay for 3 years blogging!! You definitely made the right choice to start blogging. 🙂 I’ve only read the first book, so it would be great to read the others as well.
Entreleadership is a must read! I absolutely loved reading Dave’s advice and another great book that’s not part of this giveaway because my hubs is now reading it is People Over Profit by Dale Partridge — such inspiration!
Congrats on 3 years! I love following along in your journey because it is so inspiring to me. I’ll hit 2 years of blogging this fall. Hope this year is an incredible year of growth for me as well! (Looks like it will be!)
Your blog is awesome Brittany! I love following you and I know yours is going to go far! 🙂
Happy anniversary! I have only been reading your blog for about 6 months but I am totally hooked! Keep up the great work, Jessi.
I absolutely love your blog. One of the few I follow! I’m working towards paying off my student loans and let me tell you, it is NOT an easy task! Especially with a newborn here now!
Thank you for letting me look to you for guidance and ideas to get my debt paid off!
Do you keep track of blog stuff in the same place as personal/home stuff?
I use Google calendar with multiple calendars set up to manage personal and business stuff. For my blog income I keep it separate in a different account (right now I’m using PayPal) and keep a spreadsheet with all my earnings and expenses. 🙂
Congratulations on 3 years! I will celebrate 2 later this fall with my blog. 🙂
Congrats on your upcoming 2 years Jenny! 🙂
I love the blog. I hope to start a blog soon and hope to win so I can gain some insight into how it is done.
Thank you so much Diana! 🙂
Happy 3 year blogiversary!!! I’m so glad I found you a couple years ago. Great advice and I love your writing style!
Thank you so much Amy! I always love seeing your name pop up in the community — you are the sweetest! 🙂
Quitter and EntreLeadershiphas been on my reading list! Your blog is a blessing and happy blogaversary
Thank you so much Alana! 🙂 You will LOVE EntreLeadership!
Happy Anniversary!!!
Congrats on three years! I started blogging several years ago with all intentions of saving the moms of the world lots money, little by little. Unfortunately, life got the best of me and I put it on the back burner. Trying to get back in the groove!
Congrats on your blog anniversary!! I love following along and it’s been an encouragement to me to see how it’s growing. I love Ruth’s book {just need to put it all into practice!} and would love to get my hands on the others!
Thanks for the chance to win these great resources. I love my EC planner though I’ve moved on to bullet journaling, I really want an EC notebook now. I have been wanting to read Dave Ramsey and How to Blog fir profit too. Happy Blogiversary! Hope you link up your giveaway with Small Victories Sunday linkup too.
Every single one of these books is on my to-read list. If I don’t win, I’ll have to get them at the library. Libraries – do people still use those!? We do! It’s how we don’t have a book budget 🙂 haha #getoutofdebt
Good luck Renee – and EntreLeadership was at my local library and is a must read in my opinion! It’s so, so awesome, but then again I love ol’Uncle Dave! 🙂
I just stumbled across your site a week or so ago. I have been gobbling up the information in it. Thank you. My husband and I are just beginning the adventure into affiliate links. I am presently reading Real Life on a Budget. I am looking forward to what else I will be able to learn from your site as I begin this blogging adventure.
